Hello, I’m Kerry. I live in Birmingham and am a mother to two amazing children, a boy and a girl.

Whilst on maternity leave with my son I was keen to attend classes with him to support and promote his development, allow us both to socialize and to also give me ideas of things I could do with him at home. Being a first time Mom, I sometimes felt lonely and isolated as Motherhood was a whole new world to me… what was I supposed to do with a baby all day? I took him to local stay and play groups but felt like we needed more.

Then I found Tots Play, which offered us yoga, massage, signing, music and sensory play. Both my son and I loved the classes. We benefitted from them so much. It strengthened our bond, got us both out of the house and into some sort of routine once a week, allowed us to socialize and build relationships, gave us ideas of what we could do at home together, and I saw his development thrive. While on maternity leave again with my daughter I was keen to return to Tots Play with her as I know how much it benefitted my son and me. She loved it just as much as he did.

Having previously worked in a primary school as a teaching assistant I really enjoy working with children and their families, supporting their learning and development, and watching them grow together so I knew I want to continue to work with children as I find it so rewarding, but with two children I needed more flexibility.

Having such a positive experience of Tots Play myself, I knew I wanted to enable others to gain that experience and make precious memories together, and running my own Tots Play classes was the perfect solution. I am so excited to bring Tots Play to Kings Norton and Northfield and can’t wait to meet you all!
