April Adventures at Tots Play

Spring is in the air! Well, for a little while at least, but we will make the most of it while it is here in any case. Whatever the weather has thrown at us we have had a lovely April across the country at our Tots Play Classes and at here at HQ. Nothing stops us from having fun and delivering you our award winning classes.

We are coming to you a little late this month so that we could bring you all the news and pictures from Children's Activities Week, which was celebrated last week (30th April - 4th May). More of that to come, but first, a few other exciting April events.

More Awards

Tots Play Birmingham has not only been nominated for the Hoop Awards but they are winners!! Tots Play Birmingham has won the 2018 Hoop Awards in the 'Best for Toddlers' category! And not only that....They also came Runner Up for the 'Best for Babies' category! A huge congratulations to Fatema over in Birmingham, you do an amazing job with you classes and this is truly deserved.

New Franchisees on board

This April also saw some lovely new ladies attending our training programme to bring Tots Play to even more areas across the country. It was a pleasure to welcome them to HQ and see how much they have learnt and to be part of their journey and enthusiasm to bring the clases to their area. Keep an eye out for classes starting in Hunts Cross, Coalville, Okehampton, Worcestershire, West Wickham and returning to Stafford and Rugeley. Congratulations Ladies and we look forward to you flourishing.

Children’s Activity Week.

As mentioned, we have been taking part in Children’s Activity Week at classes across the country over the last week. This is a new initiative, organised by the Children's Activities Association to celebrate all the benefits that children (and their grown ups) can gain from taking part in activities, and also supporting a fantastic charity, Caudwell Children, and we were thrilled to take part alongside children's activities providers throughout the UK.

Caudwell Children transforms the lives of disabled children across the UK, acting as a safety net for families who are unable to gain the help they need in other ways, so we know that the funds that you have helped raise through the week will be put to very good use. We are still counting up donations but will update you next month with more on this.

The theme of the week was #watchmefly so we invited everyone to dress up and join in the fun. Here are a few of our favourites;

As was space travel and superheroes;

We adapted lots of our activities to the theme of the week too, with lots of ways to fly;

And here are some of our toddlers exploring the theme of flying using all their senses, as well as learning new skills;

A huge thank you and well done to everyone who took part in our #watchmefly sessions and for your generous donations, and also to our fabulous franchisees who put so much effort into planning these special sessions for you. We can't wait to do it all again next year!

The Baby Development course has been amazing! It is the perfect mixture of baby massage, yoga, signing and sensory play. Our favourite part was the massage! The groups are the perfect size. Tracey is fantastic at making you feel comfortable and provides lots of suggestions on how to play and bond with your baby. Highly recommended! Looking forward to Discovery Tots ! x

Picture of the Month

Part of our ethos at Tots Play is to make play accessible to all and for you to be able to reproduce aspects of what we do when at home with your child. That's why we especially love this picture, sent in by one of our Derbyshire mums, showing a great example of her baby enjoying sensory resources she made after learning about them in class.
