Hi, I'm Rachel and I run Tots Play classes in the Swadlincote and Measham area. I've
lived here for my entire life and love being outdoors so am so lucky to be surrounded by such lovely
countryside for walks and exploring with my family.

My background is as a new-born and family photographer. I loved and still do, love photography and
meeting new parents and families at a super important and pinnacle moment in their life as a new
addition joins their family. 

When I had my first son Teddy in 2016, I plucked up the courage to go to a Tots Play class to aid in Teddy’s development and in the hopes of meeting some new mummy friends too. I still have those friends to this day to meet up for play dates and coffee chats, they are invaluable to me and a true
testament that baby classes are not just for babies after all. Whilst also being brilliant for the babies
themselves, they can be a life line for parents.

When I had my second son in 2022 I bounced from baby class to baby class, not really finding what I was looking for. An all round class was so missing in my local area, and I saw this both from my own perspective but also other mums I spoke to at other baby classes, we could all see there was something missing – and I knew immediately that I wanted to bring back a class to the local area that had provided me with so much when I was a lonely first time mum – a safe space to go every week with a warm and
welcoming atmosphere to make friends to keep each other sane. This had saved me in those early
months, and I so wanted to help others do the same.

With classes suitable from new-born up to toddler age, there is a class for everyone where you'll fine massage, yoga, sign language, sensory play and so much more.
