Hi there, my name is Shannon.

I live in Southborough and I run Tots Play classes in Tunbridge Wells.

I made the big decision to move from sunny South Africa to England in November 2020. What started out as one giant leap of faith, turned out to be one of the greatest adventures of my life. I fell pregnant and in September 2022, I was blessed with my beautiful baby boy, Conor.

My journey into parenthood started a little sooner than I expected as Conor was ready to say hello 7 weeks early. As you can imagine, this led to many challenges, but his tenacity prevailed and he grew into a strong and healthy little boy that is filled with adventure and a deep-rooted love for learning.

 

While looking for a community that would support me as a parent, as well as help my son reach his developmental milestones, we found Tots Play, which immediately ticked all the boxes and felt like home. It was so welcoming and incorporated everything we could need in one class, including Sensory play, Massage, Music and Movement, Yoga and more. I'd found a place that would allow Conor and I to bond in a beautiful way, and knew I had to bring these classes to Tunbridge Wells, so that more parents could get the same benefits we found through this fantastic programme.

Prior to having Conor I was a primary school teacher in South Africa and England, and Tots Play allows me to continue to use my passion for teaching, but in a new way, bringing all my experience in early childhood education and expertise for fostering growth to guide your tiny learners through all the engaging activities on offer, sparking their curiosity and igniting their imaginations - while still being there for my own little boy, supporting his growth and development too!  

So here I am, and I cannot wait to welcome you to our classes!  Whether it's singing songs, exploring sensory play, or sharing stories, every moment is filled with joy, learning, and love. With a gentle touch and endless patience, I not only teach but also nurture, instilling confidence and independence in each child, in a warm and welcoming environment where you and your little ones can flourish together.
